Primal Scream vs. Can
LIAM GALLAGHER, members of PRIMAL SCREAM and CAN drummer JAKI UEBEZEIT were involved in a bizarre jam session in the Scream's own Primrose Hill studio on May 9, NME can reveal.

Liam played piano at the session, during which original new material was recorded. A Scream spokesman says the material could end up on an EP to be released next year.

The session went on until Sam. A source told NME that "they were well happy with the results. Everybody seemed to be in a euphoric mood the next day."

There are reports that, among other songs, the ensemble recorded a cover version of '5 Years Ahead Of Our Time'. a sona bv obscure US aaraae band The Third Bardot. A Scream spokesman told NME how the session came about.

"They met up at a Can party for the 'Sacrilege' album and invited him (Liebezeit) down to the studio. They spent the night jamming.

"I think they just played and something came out of it. I don't think it was a cover. I think it probably will appear at some point I don't think it will be a B-side cos all the B-sides for this album (The Scream's forthcoming LP 'Vanishing Point') have been done, so I reckon any release will be a while away, probably next year. I think that there will be a brand new EP in the new year."
