DVD

After years of  tralling through record fairs and making many fruitless journeys to camden on a weekend in that little hope of finding a dodgy stall that might just have a dvd or video of the scream from the tour of the show you have just been to they finally release aofficial dvd.

THEY CHOOSE THE WORST SHOW FROM A OK TOUR.

They could have chosen any number of breathtaking allnighters at brixton or chosen the barrowlands or manchester shows. The dvd was awaiting me monday night when I got in and its how I remember it its ok musically and the crowd is a fuckin joke its painful how lame it is I know a lot of people on this board went & enjoyed it but look at the crowd in general awful. The show lacks power & the intensity which you get with most scream shows. Its great to have a dvd on the scream, with tracks I have no footage of like bomb drops 99th floor damaged but of all the amazing and special shows we have all been to this was chosen. No kowalski or kill all hippies I rest my case.

Give me my glasto 2003 dvd anytime if you want the real scream live experience

Anyone seen any promotion for this?  I'd have had no idea it was out apart from the talk on here.  Compared to the Sony push for Country Girl and RCB this is pish.

They should release Glastonbury 2005 as a DVD.  Probably the ultimate Primal Scream show.  That gig ought to be considered a rock legend.

Apart from the scandalous exclusion of Kowalski and Kill all Hippies, I actually think its pretty good.  Very decent sound and visuals.  Swastika Eyes and Damaged look immense.  Only poor thing is the crowd.
Its miles better than the Hoping Foundation DVD.

Glasto 2005 was good but I am sorry you cannot compare it to 2003 I was at both  and bobby ranting overshadowed the performance in 2005 they were great but in 2003 they were special being touted as the band of the weekend thank god for bbc 3  Kowalski was absolutely stunning probably the best footage I have of the scream & id like think I have a lot.

With regards to the RCB dvd as I said before its ok but it could be so much better.

not a bad dvd at all....crowd also not too bad either,. Its as I remembered it. The front lot getting in there and the ones at the back standing still but having watched loads of scream dvd's its only the japanese audiences that truly get mental. Spotted Kats D twice and caught myself grinning happily at the end. Loads better than Hoping but I am  annoyed at no kowalski or hippies . Also no kowalski (their best vid ) or burning wheel promos either.... some fucking mystery why not !

I found it a bit sloppy,low in audio(played thru 5.1)
to the exclusion of Nitty Gritty from the tracklisting,
thats poor in my view....

Still haven't got my bastarding copy yet! Play.com tells me it was sent out on the 1st August - there have been postal strikes down here so I wonder if this has anything to do with it..

meaning it was played and omitted from the dvd tracklisting or it wasn't played and therefore, pretty obviously, omitted?

can't wait for the dvd though, play dispatched but it hasn't arrived yet

on a side not, I can't goddamn wait for them at Connect
