I'm sure Radio 1 broadcast a recording of a one off gig they managed to do, featuring all the guest vocalists on that album: Bobby Gillespie, Dot Allison, Jim Reid and Iggy Pop. Think I may have taped it, but my cassettes have long since been binned. A good version of Soul Auctioneer, with Bobby, if I remember rightly.....

I was at that show but no Iggy Pop. It was at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London and their best gig imo. I can remember cheering my head off when Bobby came on stage as the Scream had been away for a while, he looked dead cool and sung a great Soul Auctioneer. Me and a mate were stood right by Malcolm Maclaren during the support act (Ping Pong Bitches if I recall). He's a little man.

Sadly I have no recording of that or any other DIV gig.

Last thing I got by them was Scorpio Rising. Not heard Satans Circus at all. Bit more Kraut wasn't it?
One of those bands that I loved at the time then lost interest in. Style over substance in a way.

They played Brixton May 2 2003 which I think is the most likely date for the bonus disc. As for style over substance, you might have a point. Been listening to Scorpio Rising recently and I remember being a bit disappointed at the time but think it sounds like a pretty good compilation of other peoples songs now. Also was checking out Satans Circus which clearly impressed me so much when it came out that I don't actually remember hearing it before. It is indeed Kraut and it's alright but none of their stuff comes close to The Contino Sessions.

I'm sure that the shepherd's bush gig was uploaded on this site ages ago, maybe somewhere in the live recordings from other bands thread?

I've got it on my ipod, but not on my current pc (which brings me to another question - is there a way to get music from an ipod onto a computer?).

There is a way, and it's very easy. Plug the ipod into the computer, open up 'my computer', it's there as a drive with your ipod name, make a folder in my documents or somewhere and call it COCK ROCKET, copy everything that's in the ipod from the drive to this folder.......and that's your music done.

I must admit that I use these steps when I've changed laptop, opened a new itunes, and then downloaded my music into the new itunes. I think when the music is only downloaded to the computer it doesn't come up with the artist and song titles but things like F01, F02 upto F40. When it goes into itunes the song details are then recognised.

My mate gave me a full set of instructions on how to do this a few years back so I'm only going from memory here. If you Google it then there's plenty of help on there as well.

Mmmmm; I think I have various bootleg concert footage somewhere at home ... pretty sure it's circa CONTINO SESSIONS, but alas no DVD burner.

Happy to share; if someone's willing to help out.

Give me sometime to get home from Texas and I'll look them out ....

Johnnyboys method works but leaves no tags and filenames due to itunes liking to be different  :knuppel2:

Yamipod moves them properly and theres a Mac or Windows version

Be cool if you could upload the gig as I seem to have missed out on it at the time too

Satan's Circus is on Spotify so you can listen to the live disc there, if you use it.
