No ta - I've had my fill of Primal Scream offshoot 'supergroups' after the Freebass gig last week. Utter pish. (Don't get me wrong, Mani still the best bass player on the planet)...

1000 mile round trip to watch a cover band..., typical of you ya obsessive cunt! Ms BUKOWSKI is a very understanding woman.....
p.s. Doubt I'll make Neu, too much hassle it being a midweek gig....

According to the website they're a high energy rock and roll band, maybe it's a warm up for a forthcoming Kooks support. Still, it'll be good practice for Glenn before he teams up with Mick Hucknall, it'll be just like the real thing.

Sounds like a better proposition than Freebass to me any day... except I'd lose Glen, what on earth does he bring into the mix? I might get tickets for this, at least I get to see Bobby.

I was sceptical about this, however when I saw that tickets were on sale for £12.34 I picked up a couple on Friday.
The set was awesome. Bobby was really into it and was quite chatty and coherent. Glen also seemed to be well into it, urging the crowd to make more noise. Barrie played violin bow for the first song. I can't believe that this will be a one-off as the set was so tight. I got a setlist and the songs are listed as:
HOW DOES IT FEEL
ARE YOU GOING TO BE THERE?
TEENAGE HEAD
PSYCHOTIC REACTION
I WISH YOU WOULD
I WANT YOU
FIRE OF LOVE
MAKING TIME
I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU EVERYTHING
SISTER ANN
ACTION WOMAN
So, indeed the promised mix of Chocolate Watchband, MC5, The Troggs, Flaimin' Groovies etc.

Thanks Katrina.
Skull - I couldn't record it as my battery was nearly dead. There was somebody linked to the band that was videoing it from the stage so hopefully that will surface.

They played Teenage Head? Great, one of the best songs off the Primal Scream album. Nice one.

Maybe it was the Flamin' Groovies song of the same name, seeing as it was a covers set?
Just guessin' though...
