Well, that was fun.

Met up with some cool people, chilled out and then decided to go into the pit for the Scream. Cue a classy girl telling me "you should have fucking got here earlier if you love them that much" as I made my way in and lots of knuckleheads.

After saying in an interview that they wouldn't play any new songs they opened with the new song 2012 haha (really good and quite long) and then a quick blast through Rocks, Jailbird, Country Girl etc.

A nice moment when Debbie, Innes and Barrie did some synchronised guitar moves in unison, coming to the front of the stage.

Thought that was a bit crass using the bands account to get more followers for his personal one.

not the first time, won't be the last one either..

Aye, I think we can all agree that Chris Dolan is a WANK.  No wonder he gives this place a wide berth, he wouldn't last 2 minutes...

Cheers for the 2012 vid - my money's on a March 2013 release (hope I'm wrong!)...

Yes, it's a shame as I've asked him to check out the site and contact Jeff to get involved.

Hats off to a member of another band that sorted out VIP passes for people that had been active members of his forum.....

I was there and the Roses were amazing. One of the best gigs i've ever been to!

Was disappointed in the Scream tho. Seen them 4 times now and Glasto last year was absolutely amazing, but Friday was probably the worst i've seen them

It was probably partly because I was a long way back and the sound wasn't very good, but they just seemed like they couldn't really be arsed.

Also was hoping for Shoot Speed Kill Light or anything more interesting than the predictable finale of Country Girl, Jailbird & Rocks!

Once they started playing one of them you know the other 2 are coming and the gig is essentially over.

But the end of the day everyone was there to see the Roses and it was still one of the best nights of my life!

Nice!

Hoping for some more Roses dates now - from the clips I've seen, they look like they're loving it. Fair warms the heart, doesn't it?

Yes, it's really great to see how much they are enjoying it!

I'm hoping for a London date. Heard rumours tat they would pay iTunes festival at Roundhouse ages ago

Ended up buying a ticket for T in the Park on Saturday to see them again. Friday at Heaton Park was amazing!

As an aside, the ticket prices for T in the park are extortionate. A day ticket costs the same as a 3 day camping ticket for Optimus Alive in Lisbon.

Nah, it's a guy who must have spent the last few days knee deep in YouTube rips - he's taken all of the footage of that gig and mixed it together into a massive full-length clip.  Hence the different camera angles.  A labour of love.  I had a skip through it - would be an interesting document if it had 'proper' sound over those clips.

Kinda like that Beastie Boys one where they got folks in the crowd to film it.
