Deb did well, very head down and subdued for most of the set; playing more to her amp than the crowd but she did get roped into a three-way guitar as machine gun line up with Innes and Barry towards the end (Shoot Speed I think, which Bob dedicated to 'the kamikazes'). Dunno what she made of the 'Mani, Mani' cries from some young girls in the crowd... but she shone on Higher Than The Sun in particular I thought.

Cool, what version of Higher Than The Sun did they play?  Are they still doing the epic Screamadelica tour version or a shorter rendition?

Well, I stubbornly didn't see any of the Screamadelica tour shows as for me the 'Screamadelica Tour' happened in 1991, and I was lucky enough to be there... was always dubious about the anniversary gigs, tbh.

But as far as I can tell it was the Screamadelica tour version as it incorporated the Dub Symphony.

Though, and I fucking loved this, in years of Scream gigs I've never heard HTTS played so truly dub style; not in the cliched sense of an overload of effects, but rather stripped back just to drum, bass and percussion for quite a lengthy time.

Just beautiful!

Maybe this wasn't the Scream's first gig with Deb Googe??

Just found this at http://garymoore.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-946.html

This looks like the 3-way machine gun thing with Barrie, Debbie & Innes!
