The Stone Roses - Live in Barcelona
« on: June 11, 2012, 02:15:38 PM »
Just got back from a weekend watching our man in Barcelona and all I can say is wow!

Two great sets with some nice surprises including Something's Burning and Don't Stop.

If you think that they are doing this for the money then check this out (not my footage):

If you aren't a Roses fan then skip to the end and see how they are with each other  :smitten:

Set list and Mani's plectrum from the first night:

Great vid, thanks, but where's the Roses (sartorial) style gone...? They had to drive straight from a plastering job for this show maybe...

The singing was deafening throughout, with the crowd singing most of the guitar lines too, so god knows what it will be like at Heaton Park!  I haven't got tickets to Heaton Park as I preferred to see them in a smaller venue with the prospect of fewer Oasis fans.

As for what they were wearing, it was so hot in there that t-shirts were the only option I think.  Ian wore a Bathing Ape x Neighborhood hoody onto the stage on the first night, but soon had to take it off.  John wore basic t shirts both nights and looks pretty cool in this picture that I took on the second night I think:

Mani looked like he would have happily played naked judging by the smile on his face throughout.

Must admit, there was a wee tear in the corner of my eye watching them hug at the end....especially when Reni joined in.
Never thought I'd get a chance to see him play. Would have loved to have caught them at a wee venue like that, but Heaton Park will do fine instead.

yeah, i went to one of the Blur gigs in Hyde park, couldnt hear the band over the crowd. I fully expect Heaton Park to be like that too, but I dont mind, i'll just get trolley'd and enjoy it

that's a great clip of Resurrection
