Agree with what you both said.  We could have gone if we had any kind of official information from anywhere.  Went to the last Hoping gig at Brixton.

As usual Chris Dolan's too busy trying to get more followers and pestering people to meet up with him for drinks, rather than worrying about giving us any actual band info.

More worrying, is that NME etc have reported his "RIP Chris Brahney X" tweet as actually coming from the Scream.  I think he's actually going to do some damage one day if he's not careful.

It's about time someone called Dolan out on his bullshit.  I saw the twitter bit, and I tweeted to Moggie that I was wondering when someone would call him on it.  He's bloody worthless.  I've seen him tweet that he was looking for work so does he even really work for the Scream?  Or just Little Barrie?

Whatever the case, I think it's pretty fckng sad that my Scream twitter puts out more Scream news than the official...and I'm in the States.

Lets be realistic here..... other than Mani , the scream have never really given a fuck about their fans .
Sure, they have been pleasant in the flesh but i can only think of one thing this band has done for the fans.
A few years ago i went to the BF album launch at the Diesel wharehouse along with 10 people from this board. The place was full of m8's and hangers on and the row of fans stood at the front of the stage sweating and jumping about while Jodie Harsh and Pixie Geldof stood at the back texting and applying makeup. I doubt it made a difference to the scream.
I love em but i dont expect anything from this band other than good music and sonic assaulting live shows -  and I pay for it all !
So i shall take no notice of a retro influenced backward glancing wannabe PR person who has no input into  the only two aspects of the Scream i am interested in.


PS; no sign of him here and we all know that this is where the scream fan action is to be found.

Other than the comic relief, I'd like to thank Dolan for taking total credit of trying to get Brianjonestown Massacre together when they are in DC to jam.  (I don't find that funny.)  He didn't even know BJTM was playing the same date (22/08) at different clubs that are about a block from each other until I tweeted Anton Newcombe about it.   

That aside, I do hope this jam happens because I'll be there.

I've bitten the bullet and set up an unofficial Twitter account @PrimalNews.  I've called it Primal Scream News, but I can change that.

It was inspired by Dolan's ineptitude and by @ScreamOrDie 2012 Scream Or Die which is run in the US by GrrrRobin.

I'll use it to tweet any news and could send people here if Skull and Moggie are OK with that as GrrrRobin hadn't stopped by for a while until I told him about it.

Hopefully we can get David Holmes, Jagz etc using it as @ScreamOrDie and a few of us on here have already been getting bits of info from them via twitter.

Also, in my anger I totally left out that it's Little Barrie that will be in DC same time as BJTM.

Okay I'll bite.

I've followed the official scream Twitter account since it started, don't have a problem with it.

I now follow the "scream or die" Twitter account based on this thread and tonight there was a retweet from Simon Le Bon.  Can some explain?  I don't think I was particularly aware about what Chris Dolan was doing wrong but I don't remember a retweet from the lead singer of Duran Duran ever appearing in my Twitter page before.  WTF????

First, though mainly Scream related news, sometimes you might see other things.  Now before you go jumping on me for retweeting Simon LeBon (god forbid), did you actually read the tweet?  It was for a little girl who has terminal cancer and one of her wishes was to trend on twitter.  It had come across my feed and I retweeted it.  What is the big deal in that?  I also tweeted and retweeted I don't know how many times about Chris Brahney, which though related to the Scream because of Heaton Park, wasn't Scream news.  I also tweeted the living shit about The Stone Roses and helped in the #RosesFollowBack, and that's not Scream news.

My twitter is mainly an attempt to raise awareness of the Scream here in the US, and to get them to tour here.  I support a lot of bands and projects that are branches out of Primal Scream.  I will also throw a joke or unrelated retweet here and there because there isn't Scream news everyday.  I think I have done a rather good job on my page with my main mission.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that anyone would be upset over a retweet that was for a little girl dying of cancer.  I don't care if it was from Simon LeBon, when it came through my feed it was from another Scream follower, and I just retweeted it because I have a heart.
